Where it started

During COVID, I got the bright idea to start a photography business focused on elders.

The news was scary and people were losing their elders at alarming rates. I called up my maternal uncle and asked if I could photograph him. Raja Manzoor Ahmad, my mom’s oldest brother. He would sit in the window and wait for us to arrive. Always ready with a warm cup of chai, laughter and discussions about God, family and community. A brilliant storyteller and the first person in our family to own a camera. He bravely fought cancer, always loved a great cologne, was so punctual that you could set your clocks by him, and loved classic songs.
